The Joint Managing Director of Roadlink International, Keith Sedgley has managed to complete a 133 miles cycling challenge that he has undertaken in order to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity. The managing director of the commercial vehicle parts supplier has managed to complete this amazing feat of endurance saw Keith travel from Wolverhampton to Aberdovey in order to fundraise for the charity.
The Aberdovey Bike Ride took place this year on Friday the 16th of June. Officially the event is 105 miles long, but Keith decided to take it one step further by adding an extra two-hour mountain climb onto his participation of the event for good measure. The cycling event has taken place every year since 1992 and as part of the participation on the event, each cyclist is expected to raise at least £75 for an official cause that they can choose.
Roadlinkâs Keith Sedgley is an avid fundraiser and it is great news for the vehicle parts supplier that a member of their management is working hard to raise money for charity, giving the company positive publicity.
Keith took the challenge in order to meet a personal goal and in memory for of a dear friend. So far Keith has managed to raise nearly £900, with the hope that he will be able to reach the £1000 mark for the worthy charity. Keith felt that the Aberdovey Bike Ride would be tough and has been in training for weeks in order to make sure that he completed the challenge in order to raise money for such a worthwhile charity.
The Brain Tumour Charity has been working hard in order to try and defeat the dangers and complications people can face from developing brain tumors. The Charity works to fund cutting edge research that is able to offer life-changing support to those individuals and families that are affected by brain tumours.
