World Record-Breaking LEGO Caravan Heads to Motorhome and Caravan Show 2016

The Guinness World Record-breaking, life-size LEGO caravan is heading to the Motorhome and Caravan Show 2016.

In the latest version of the ever popular stocking filler, the Guinness World Records 2017 book will include the impressive engineering feat of the life size LEGO caravan.

The 2015 record breaker has enjoyed its place at top spot for the last two years as the biggest caravan ever made from the plastic bricks, with 215,158 used in total.

The model, complete with running water and electricity, took more than 12 weeks and 1,000 man hours to complete and stands at 3.6 metres in length and 2.2 metres in height.

The record breaker can be seen up close at the Motorhome & Caravan Show at The Birmingham NEC between 11–16 October.

Those who view the model in person will be able to check out the intelligently designed interior, featuring a seating area, bed, fridge, chess set and full English breakfast on the hob, all made out of LEGO.

CEO of NCC Events (National Caravan Council), John Lally, commented: The caravan is an amazing tribute to the motorhome and caravanning industry. We’re delighted that it’s retained its Guinness World Record this year and will come to the Motorhome and Caravan Show 2016.

The level of detail is incredible and we hope that it continues to help inspire young people to get involved and enjoy our industry.

The LEGO caravan will join almost 400 exhibitors at the popular show, with nearly every leisure vehicle under one roof, along with holiday idea, accessories and much more.

The show is the biggest leisure vehicle launch event of the year and the only show where all the new-for-2017 motorhome, caravan models and accessories are revealed.

Along with all the latest product news, the show will also be attended by several well-known celebrity faces keen to share their love of the great outdoors.
