Nokian Tyres, the manufacturer has chosen to renew their contract with their logistics provider. The Finnish tyre manufacturing company has extended their contract with the logistics provider Fiege, which will now last until the end of 2019. The contract extension has taken place early, before the previous contract ended, which is a good reflection of the quality of service offered by Fiege.
Nokian Tyres operates two manufacturing plants, one of which is in Nokia, Finland, and the other is in Vsevolozhsk in Russia. The Russian facility has been created to make sure that the tyres created can deliver safe driving in extreme conditions. Nokian Tyres develops innovative products to be used for automobiles, trucks and heavy machinery. The company are popular for their extensive testing and delivery of tyres that are suitable for use in snow-prone areas and during more extreme weather seasons. The testing that is carried out ensures the tyres that are manufactured are of a high grade, which is also beneficial for businesses who require intensive use of their vehicles.
Fiege Logistik has been delivering the logistics services for Nokianâs car tyres since 2015. The company have supplied their solutions from the Hessian municipality of Otzberg since this date. It is great news for the company that one of the worldâs leading tyre manufacturers has prematurely extended their contract with Fiege. The contract news reflects the high service delivered by the logistics company. Nokian continues to expand their operations, and Fiege has been contracted to manage all of the 44,000 square meters of storage space used by Nokian in Otzberg. From this storage facility, Fiege will then work to supply a range of retailers across Germany and a number of other European countries with Nokian tyres. Feige also manages a distribution centre for Nokian Tyres near to Warsaw which has been established for distributions to Austria from the Czech Republic.
